| New Scholarship for Business Majors |
Calling all college students...KOMT/KPFM/KKTZ Radio is sponsoring a new scholarship in conjunction with the Chamber of Commerce for business majors at accredited Arkansas colleges or universities, the Charles Willard Dowdy
Business Scholarship.
Mr. Dowdy was a long-time business owner and community leader in Gulfport, Mississippi, the patriarch of Twin Lakes Radio in Mountain Home, among several others in other states.
This scholarship is available only to those continuing their education in the field of business. (must be a current college student to apply) Applications can be picked up at the Chamber of Commerce and KOMT/KPFM/KKTZ - Twin
Lakes Radio. The deadline is September 15!!

Mountain Home is No. 7 in Outdoor Life
magazine's ranking of America's Top 200 Towns
For Sportsmen.
The list appears in the June/July 2010 print
edition of the magazine on newsstands around
June 1.
Mountain Home was its No. 1 hunting and fishing
town in 2008 and No. 2 that year as a fishing
destination in its companion publication, Field
& Stream. The 2010 publication is Outdoor Life's
third such ranking.
Mountain Home was not altogether out of the
limelight in 2009. It was found among Forbes
Magazine's Top 10 Towns for Sportsmen.
